Tickets for the 32nd GFI HKFC 10s at Hong Kong Football Club from April 5-6 are available online at Ticketflap:

Single-day entry is HK$100 and an Early Bird Package for two days of rugby is HK$150 at Ticketflap.

Thursday night’s After Party features live band The Benchwarmers and a free flow of beer and wine, and is HK$300 on the door or HK$250 (Early Bird) at Ticketflap. Two days of rugby and the After Party is available at Ticketflap for HK$400.

As for the past 31 years, the tournament will be held on the Wednesday and Thursday ahead of the world-famous Hong Kong Sevens, so is always popular with local and international rugby fans.

The Classic Wallabies will be a star attraction at this year’s GFI HKFC 10s as they make their tournament debut with a star-studded squad of former Australia internationals, plus some Australia Sevens players and Australia U20s to boost their chances of lifting the Bill Burgess Cup.

Legendary lock Nathan Sharpe, giant wingers Lote Tuqiri and Wendell Sailor, and towering forward Radike Samo are among former Wallabies under consideration.

Defending champions Penguins, 2016 runners-up Mourant Ozannes Samurai, three-time champions Hogan Lovells Asia Pacific Dragons and two-time finalists Tradition YCAC are among at least 14 teams returning from last year.

A-Trade Overseas Old Boys, Taikoo Place Scottish Exiles, Projecx Waterboys, King’s College at UQ, Kir Club Pyrenees, UBB Gavekal, Irish Vikings, GFI East Africans, Shanghai RFC and hosts Natixis HKFC also return. The final team in the 16-team line-up will be confirmed soon.

Inaugurated in 1986 to celebrate Hong Kong Football Club’s centenary, the GFI HKFC 10s has long attracted the game’s top players including seven of the New Zealand team who won the 2015 Rugby World Cup – Conrad Smith, Jerome Kaino, Ben Smith, Beauden Barrett, Nehe Milner-Skudder, Sam Cane and Charlie Faumuina.
